Preparations are moving full speed ahead for Aşk ve Taht, atv’s new period drama produced by Bozdağ Film. Produced by Mehmet Bozdağ and directed by Yağmur Taylan, Durul Taylan and Cem Toluay—who have helmed some of Turkish television’s most talked-about productions—the cast gathered for a costumed table read and shared their thoughts about the series.

With its sets, compelling story and richly drawn characters, the production is preparing to create an entirely new and spectacular world, bringing a sweeping love story never before told in history to the screen.

Drawing attention with its expansive cast and spectacular production, Aşk ve Taht will chronicle Alaeddin Keykubat’s journey from the dungeon to the throne against a backdrop of romance, struggles for power, harem intrigue and the delicate balance of palace politics.
